PAPAKURA’S SALARY QUOTA..
A REDUCTION ASKED FOR,
Exception was taken by Mr McEntee at Monday evening’s meeting of the Papakura Town Board to the cost —namely £3O a year—as Papakura’s share towards the health salary, as he did not think the town derived £3O worth of benefit. The chairman (Mr H. L. said there was nothing to prevent tho board asking for a reduction. Mr McEntee moved that a letter bo sent to the Director-General of Health , asking for a reduction in the cost of the services of the Health Inspector, owing to the small amount of work, required in the district. The motion was carried.
