NORTH WAIKATO TOURNEY. WON BY W. BILKEY'S RINK. The final of Hie Northern Waikato Rowling Association's annual full rink tournament was played on Wednesday afternoon between J. Pollock, C. Cooper, W. J. Short, R. W. Bilkey (s), ami F. Perkins. T. G. Thompson, David Roulston, Duncan Itoulston («}. In the early slages the game was keenly and evenly contested, but towards the latter end-Bilkey's rink got the upper hand and added sutticien! points to run out easy winners by •>:>, points to 1 :>. After the match the president, of the Northern Waikato Bowling Association, Mr R. Wright, congratulated the teams on their performances and said that on the day's play the better team won.- He referred to the high standard of play throughout the tourney, and the'splendid greens on whh the games were contested. He thanked the Pukekohe club for allowing the use of its greens: He handed to the president of the Pukekohe club, Mr G. K. Lawrie, the championship banner "and congratulated the club on its success. Mr Lawrie thanked Mr Wright for his remarks, and congratulated winning rink on upholding the prestige of the club. Mr Wright pinned the challenge stars on the winning rink and also presented each with handsome silver cups.
