A local radio enthusiast, interested in the result of the crrcket test match between England and Australia, tuned in to Station 2FC. Sydney this morning, and learned the result of the third test match. The match was drawn, but Australia gained a moral victory. I Australia in their first innings made 566 (Bradman 334). England replied with 391, Hobbs 29, Sutcliffe 32, Hammond 113, Duleepsinhji 35, Leyland 44, Geary 0, Duckworth 33, Chapman 45, Tate. 23, Tyldesley 6, Larwood 10. Extras 21. Total 391. In the follow on England in their second innings lost 3 wickets for 95 runs, Sutcliffe not out S2B, Hobbs 13, Hammond 35. Duleepsinhji 10. Leyland (not out) 1. Extras 8. Total for 3 wickets 95.
