“Who paid for this furniture?” asked the Official Assignee (Mr S. Tanslcy) at Wellington when a bankrupt stated that lie had no furniture, hut his wife had a little.- “When I was in work and getting paid,” replied the bankrupt, “my wife out of her allowance, bought small articles from time to time.” “Then it is your furniture, and not your wife’s,” remarked Mr Tansley.
