CRICKET AT CLEVEDON.

MATCH ON SATURDAY. WIN FOR HOWIGK. An interesting cricket match was played on the Clevedon showground on Saturday between teams from the Clevedon and the Howick clubs. After a good game Howick won by eight wickets.

Clevedon batted first and• compiled 37 runs, to which F. Duder contributed 13 and Drinnan 9. Howick in its first innings compiled 99 runs, Warin making 53, Haslip senr., 16 and Kyd 1&. Clevedon did better in the second innings and scored 78 runs, to this F. Duder contributed 23, Colquhoun 22, Rev. S. C. Francis 10 and Drinnan 9. Howick made 21 in its second innings with the loss of two men, Fitzpatrick compiling 13 and T. Haslip and Haslip senr. being still in when stumps' w r ere drawn.
