LAWN TENNIS.
THE FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION. The birth of the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association should augur well for the game. Eleven Clubs have banded themselves together to form the Association, and at the last general meeting it was decided to hold a family gathering of all members and the general public, at a Grand Social, Euchre Party, and Dance, in the Buckland Hair on Thursday, August 6th. As the Association’s inaugural fete the occasion promises lo be a great evening for all. It will be a moonlight night, and cars and other vehicles have, been placed at the Committee’s disposal 1o convey the members 1 hither. Hulme’s full orchestra will provide the music. Tickets are on sale, but are necessarily limited in number, and early purchase is therefore advised.*
