“IT CHEERED US.”

A LETTER OF THANKS. The following letter has been received by Miss L. Perkins, Noble Grand, of “Bethesda” Lodge Pukckolic, from Sister Esther: “Dear Miss Perkins: -Just a line to acknowledge with thankfulness your generous contribution of £lO 7/-, which has considerably cheered us today. We have had quite a number of beds with wire mat, tresses, but no top mat tress sent in. We shall spend your money in purchasing mattresses for these beds. The sleeping accommodation of the children in the city always causes me grave concern; we never seem to have sufficient beds or bedding for our beds. Our work is non-sectarian. Catholic- and Protestant are treated alike here. Would you please convey to Hie members of your Lodge an expression of our appreciation of their practical sympathy in our work, and assure, them that the money will do much to brighten Llie lives of some of our poor folk. Again thanking you for your assistance. Yours sincerely, Sister Esther.”
