STALIN REFUSES TO JOIN U.N. CHARTER ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
(Rec. 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 25. M. Stalin formally notified the United Nations to-day that he would not join the other Big Five leaders in a transcribed world broadcast to-morrow celebrating the second anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter. Mr Truman, Mr Attlee, M. Ramadier, and Marshal Chiang Kai-shek previously agreed to malce recordings. The United Nations Secretariat did not state whether M. Stalin gave reasons for his refusal.
