ROYAL SOCIETY INTERESTED IN BANNED BROADCASTS

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 26. The stopping of the broadcast talk to schools, ‘ How Things Began,’ was discussed by the Wellington branch c.t the Royal Society of New Zealand last night, when it was decided to ask the Director of Broadcasting for information on the subject, and to request that some of the recordings be heard by members of the society, in order that thev could form an opinion. Professor Richardson, of Victoria University College, said he objected to the way in which the script had been suppressed. A small group of people obviously had had sufficient influence to stop the talks. Some of the criticism arose from 'confusion of the part of evolution with the whole. The fact of evolution was not disputable, but the process was a controversial point.
