McCREADY DEFEATS HENRY ' . (P.A.) CHHISTCHUItCH, June 24. Earl McCready (Canada), 17st 31b, beat Jim Henry (United States), 18st 31b, by two falls to one in a professional wrestling contest. McCready obtained a fall with the rocking chair splits in the fourth round and Henry evened the score in the fifth round with a Boston crab, following back-breakers. McCready won the deciding fall in the seventh round with another rocking chair splits. POLICE INTERVENE IN KUSS-WRIGHT BOUT (P.A.) WANGANUI, June 24. The police had to interfere in the wrestling bout between Otto Kuss and Jim Wright to-night after a desultory exhibition Kuss was awarded a penalty fall in the seventh round after \Y right had been warned repeatedly for jolting with his knee. Kuss, however, struck the referee and tlio bout was awarded to Wright. After an argument in the ring between the contestants and the referee the police had to enter the ring. Wright was dissatisfied with the decision, and refused to leave the ring for some time.
