y* The Control Commission’s official organ, ‘ The British Zone Review,’ to-day accused German doctors of deliberately exaggerating hunger statistics in an apparent attempt to induce the British to provide more food, says Reuter’s Heriord correspondent. Tho newspaper said that in Hamburg 60 of tho 92 persons diagnosed as 1 having’ died from malnutrition were also suffering from some major organic disease like cancer or tuberculosis. Eight of the cases were over 80 years of age, 12 were over 70, and five over 60. Only about 35 per cent, could be truly said to have been suffering from malnutrition as a primary condition.
