TRANSPORT BILL FORCED THROUGH
GOVERNMENT ACCUSED OF FASCIST METHODS
(Rec. 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, April 28. There were Opposition shouts in the House of Commons of “ Fascists,” when, after Air Eden had pleaded that
more time should be allowed for consideration of the Transport Bill, Mr Arthur Greenwood, Acting Leader of the House, announced that; as already arranged, the guillotine would fall oil Wednesday night. Mr Eden had emphasised that there were 176 Government amendments, and about 200 Opposition amendments to the Bill. The Conservative, Earl Winterton, repeatedly cried “ Dictator.” when Mr Greenwood said the arrangements could not be altered
