WHAT'S IN A NAME?
It his been said that a good horse was never badly named, and followers of amateur athletics mayreflect whether nomenclature has anything to do with success. The most brilliant runner in New Zealand to-day is D, M. Harris, the New Zealand 440 and 880yds champion an d record-holder. The national junior 880yds record is held by T. R. Harris (West Coast, North Island), and on Saturday another runner of the same name broke a half-mile record, when J. Harris (Waitaki) established new figures for the senior 880yds at the secondary schools championships at Oamaru.
