DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY
MONTHLY MEETIHG A decisioh to urge ministers and sessions to give their full co-operation in finding accommodation for young people and students in the city was made at a meeting of the. Presbytery of Dunedin held yesterday. The Moderator, the Rev. R. S. Watson, presided. It was decided' that in the event of the limited number of building permits becoming available, the proposed hall at Corstorphine should be accorded first priority'. Members expressed the hope that permits would also be obtained for new halls at Tainui and Gladstone. Dr J. D. Salmond mentioned the necessity of a priority list, should onk a limited number of permits be ’granted. After some discussion it was agreed that new halk should be made available to all cultural interests in the district. The Rev. C. L. Gosling extended an invitation to members of the Presbytery to attend the seventy-fifth anniversary celebrations of St. Stephen’s Church. The church was congratulated on its attainment, and the Moderator was appointed to represent the Presbytery at the anniversary social on March 17. Last evening members of the Presbytery and the Presbyterian Association attended a communion service conducted .by the Moderator in St. Andrew’s Church.
