LARGE ENTRY OF LAMBS There was a medium yarding of fat cattle at to-day’s Burnside -market. Good quality bullocks sold for £1 more than last week. Extra prime bullocks auctioned up to £25 7s 6d, prime, £2l 10s. Extra heavy cows realised up to £ls 12s 6d; medium, £l2 10s. Extra prime heifers sold up to £l7 17s 6dThere was a larger entry than usual of fat lambs, and export buyers operated on full schedule rates. Extra heavy butchers’ lambs auctioned up to 35s 9d. , . There was a medium yarding of tat sheep, with a larger percentage of ewes than usual. Extra prime heavy wethers realised up to 29s fid to 31s 6d; good quality young ewes up to 275. There was a medium yarding of pigs. Best baconers sold from £8 17s to £9 4s; medium, £7 15s to £8 16s; and light from £6 to £7 10s. Porkers were in short supply, and met with a ready sale. The best prices were from £5 to>£s 15s. The entry of store cattle was not a large one.- Best three-year-olds realised up to £l3 Is; two-year-olds, £9; 18 months, - £7 ss.
