SECOND FLIGHT OVER POLE
BYRD DROPS UNITED NATIONS FLAG (Rec. 8 a.m.) „ , ‘ NEW YORK, February 17. Rear-Admiral Byrd flew oyer the South Pole yesterday land dropped the flag of the United Nations. He sent a personal message to of Naval Operations, Admiral Chester Nimitz wnile circling over the Polo. This is Admiral Byrd’s second flight over the South Pole. The first was on November 29, 1929. j
