INSTRUCTIVE DEMONSTRATION
AMERICAN STARS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 7. The most instructive exhibition of swimming strokes yet seen in Auckland was given to a crowd that filled the seating accommodation at the tepid baths to-night by the American champions, Fred Taioli, of San Francisco, and Ralph Wright, of Honolulu. They arrived at Whenuapai this afternoon by clipper plane, and will continue by flying boat in the morning to Sydney, where they will open an Australian tour. Both men were exceedingly generous in demonstrating modern swimming technique, and the most interesting feature of their activities was a commentary given by each man on his companion’s swimming.
