, SLACK PERIOD NEXT WEEK-END Dunedin watersiders were at work today, under the conditions announced yesterday, on the Kauri, Karetu, and Fort Coulonge. The Fort Dease Lake at Port Chalmers is fully manned, and as the work on her progresses she will require more men. The Kauri is expected to sail to-day, and the Karetu and Fort Coulonge are scheduled to sail on January 10 and January 11 respectively. The Wainui is at ' Port Chalmers undergoing her annual survey. The Waiwera is expected at Port Chalmers to load a large cargo for the United Kingdom on January 12, and the coastal vessels, Waimarino and Holmglen, are expected at Dunedin on the same date.. Two other coastal vessels, the Holmdale and the Waipalii, are due to arrive at Dunedin on January 15. The following day the overseas ship Gothic Star and the intercolonial vessel Waitaki are expected.
