SWIMMING CLASH
TEST FOR NGAIRE LANE DUNEDIN GIRL MEETS AUSTRALIAN STAR (Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 7. A great race between the New Zealand champion, Ngaire Lane, and the Australian ranking swimmer, Gwen Millard, is expected to-night in the final of the women’s 110yds back stroke championship of New South Wales, to be swum at the Olympic Pool. Miss Lane won her heat last night in 82sec and Miss Millard won hers in 82.6. There are four other finalists, but the race is expected to be between Miss Lane and Miss Millard.
