CLOSING DOWN ORDERED
FOREIGN RADIOS IN CHINA (IRec. 11.40 a.m.) SHANGHAI, January 6. The Chinese Government has closed the only Soviet, radio station in China, known as the “ Voice of the Soviet Union,” despite diplomatic appeals by the Soviet Embassy at Nanking. On December ,31, the Government ordered all radio stations in China to be closed, except 18 approved by the Government. Among those ordered to close was the French radio.
