TWO ROOMS FREE

HIGHGLIFF RESIDENT'S OFFER An offer to provide the free use of two rooms for a married exserviceman in his house at Highcliff was made by Mr G. D. Jury when he called at the ‘ Star ’ Office this morning. Mr Jury said that the house was an eight-roomed one, built of brick, and was five miles from the Anderson’s Bay tram terminus. Twice a week a bus service passed the place. One of the two rooms he was offering had a range in it and could be used as a kitchen, and the other was a bedroom. Free firing would bo provided for the occupant, also the use of a quarter-acre of land. Part of the house was a little out of repair and some of the windows were boarded up, but the two rooms, he was offering were quite habitable and could be made very comfortable. The house did not have a bath.
