Bulgaria a Republic "Democratic and Peaceful" Constitution Royal Family to Receive £5,000,000 (Rec. I 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, September 9. Bulgaria is a Republic, It is officially announced from Sofia that the voting figures in the referendum were 3,801,160 for a Republic, and 1 71,000 for the King. In Paris, Bulgaria's Foreign Minister, M. Koulichev, said Bulgaria’s Republican Constitution would constitute an orderly, democratic, and peaceful element in-the Balkans and Europe. The Government’s ideals were based on the principle of civil' and political freedom, guaranteed work and protection of property. Queen loanna and the Royal Family of Coburg would receive in foreign currency £5,000,000 for the private property , the Government would acquire.
