RESTS WITH PROPERTY OWNERS (Rec. 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, September 9, As the squatters brought in their own furniture, Ministry of Works employees removed from the flats furniture belonging to the Ministry, The employees, however, had instructions not to move anything the squatters could not replace. The ‘ Evening Standard ’ says the Government is considering measures to prevent further seizures of private property,; The next move lies with property owners to apply for eviction orders, , In Hamilton (Lanarkshire) to-day the Magistrate’s Court ordered 22 squatters to quit immediately the il-legally-occupied Mansion Court. Sentences were deferred until September 16.
