TRANSLATION OF NEW TESTAMENT HUM KAI-SHEK'S METIOULOUSHESS (Rec. noon.) SHANGHAI, Sept. 9. Marshal Chiang Kai-shek has completed a two years’ task of editing the new Chinese translation of the New Testament, involving 2,000 Chinese
characters. Dr Wu, who made the translation, said that in spite of Chiang’s heavy anxieties and State pares he went over the work three times, making numerous corrections, aiming at literary beauty and reliability, which were genuine improvements.
