CAPTAIN W. DAWSON

(P.A.) ' WELLINGTON, , Sept, 10. Advice has been received that Captain W. Dawson, master of the Tamaroa, died in, Buenos Aires on September 5. He joined the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company in 1916. After serving in various ships of the company he received command of,the Otira in 1931, being later transferred to the Akaroa and the Tainui, and to the Tamaroa in 1935. Captain Dawson is survived by his wife, two sons, and, a daughter. One sou is at present serving as a cadet on the Mahana, now in New Zealand waters.
