MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING A centennial tournament is to be held in iMhiedin in 1948 . with the possibility of the' New Zealand Challenge Shield being played lor,' advice tb this effect being; received from the New Zealand Ilockev Association by the. Management .Committee of the Otago Hopkey Association, which- held a meeting last night.\ Mr A/C.' Barnes, was the chairman. - The Dominion poritrolling body also advised that during! that season ail- Australian .team mi£ht visit the Dominion, and that arrangements were being completed for a visit from -an all-Indian services team in 1947, but arrangements bad yet; to be completed. ' , . . It was decided to communicate with all associations, inviting tentative entries for the tournament in 1948.
A committee was formed to submit recommendations for rules and regulations relating to the centennial tournaments. Permission was granted the T.C.0.8. Club to play a match against the Kakanui Club at Dunedin on September 28. and to H.S. Old Boys for the annual match with 0.8.H.5. on the same date. REPRESENTATIVE GAMES. The Southland Association wrote confirming the following representative matches which are to be played at the Oval on Saturday, September 14 Primary schools’ match at 12.15 p.m. (Messrs S. Swift and C. Grey) ; juniors at 12.45 p.m (Mr A. D. Hamilton); seniors at 12.45 p.m. (Mr TV.. A Scott) - The selectors, announced that the Otago teams would be as follows : : Primary Schools.—P.
