FLEET AIR ARM
NEW DESCRIPTIVE TERM ADOPTED (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 9. The Admiralty announced that it had been decided in future to use the term naval aviation to describe the Royal Navy’s aviation organisations. The terms Fleet Air Arm and Naval Air Arm are to be used only historically. The word “ naval ” should be used before the designations of , naval aviation personnel, for example, naval pilot.
