LEFT WING UNIONS
TO BE DISCIPLINED BY LABOUR COUNCIL C3MMUNIST DELEGATES WALK OUT FROM MEETING (Rec. noon.) SYDNEY, Sept. 10. The Labour Council’s Disputes Committee and representatives of more than 20 trade unions decided to discipline recalcitrant Left Wing unions. The meeting which made the decision represented unions with a total membership of oyer 1,000,000. Before it started to discuss . business the representatives of five Communist-dominated unions walked out. These men, who objected to the presence of delegates from the' Balmain ironworkers, represented the sheet metal workers, ironworkers, boilermakers, carpenters, and amalgamated engineering unions.
