TAIERI CLUB
There was a good attendance at the fifty-ninth annual meeting of the Taien Bowling' Club. The retiring president (Mr R. Wyllie) was in the chair - ■', , r The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted, and the prizos won during the past season were presented by the chairman as follows: Champion singles, Mr 'lt... Wyllie; handicap singles, Mr E. C. Adams; handicap doubles, Messrs E. C. Adams and J. ■ Kemp. The following office-bearers were elected for the coming season:—President, Mr L. B. Borrow; vice-president, Mr S. Riach; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. C. Adams; green supervisor', Mr G. A. Gibson;, Match Committee, Messrs R. Wyllie and A. Steven; Club Ties Committee, Messrs E. C. Skinner and J; McCartney; delegates to the centre. Mr R. L. Fairmaid (executive) and Mr 11. Wyllie; delegates to Umpires Association. Messrs A. Steven and-G. Duncan; General CommitteeMessrs C. E. Hose, T. L. Gibson, and R. Gibson: green umpires. Messrs A. Steven and C. E, Rose; auditor. Mr A. F. Quelch; in charge of Saturday's games,\Mr E. C. Adams; in charge of Wednesday's games, Mr J. F. McCartney. \ , ' ' - A general discussion took place on the programme for the coming season, which will include celebrations to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the. club.
