CALEDONIAN BOWLING CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING *
The annual meeting of the Caledonian Bowling CluU. was held this week, Mr J. Cornish presiding over an attendance of 50 members. The following office-bearers - were elected for the.ensuing year:—Patroness, Miss A. A. Greenslade;'president, Mr It. D. McLeod;, immediate past president, Mr J. Cornish; senior vicepresident. Mr G. Coughlan; junior vice-president. Mr J. T.'Whyte; secretary, Mr L. J. Edwards; treasurer, Mr A. C McPherson; - committee— Messrs E. Clancy, G. Edwards, F. J. Forrester, D. G. McKay, and D. Vaughan; selectors, Messrs E. Clancy and L. ■J. Edwards; green supervisor, Mr J. Sutherland; garden supervisor, Mr C. Lyng; club captain, Mr;V.G. Cavanagh; chief steward, Mr G. A. Munro; ties supervisors—Messrs D. G. McKay, R. Richardson, and J. T. Whyte; auditors, Messrs W. H. McLeod and T. ~T. Grant; delegates to centre—Messrs J. Cornish (executive), G.' Coughlan, and W. Cocking.' It was decided that the club ties competition > be the same as last year, with the addition of a junior singles championship confined to members with not more than five years' bowling experience, entrants to be ineligible to enter the club championship singles. It was also decided to enter all the centre fixtures, namely, Saturday and Wednesday iriterclub, Adcss Shield, and Holmes Feathers. In recognition of his services to the club, Mr.AV. H. McLeod was" elected a life member _ * The Dunedin Centre remits regarding junior, singles at Easter were received, and it was decided, to support the. proposal. It was. resolyed to support the Logan Park remit regarding the playing of the Holmes Feathers on two Saturdays. It was decided not to support the Roslyn and Leith remits with regard to playing the Holmes Feathers on evenings through the week.
