COMMUNAL TEMPERS FRAYED
LITTLE PROGRESS IN INDIAN NEGOTIATIONS NO DISCUSSIONS DURING EASTER LONDON, April, 24. Significant moves followed the return to Delhi, of : , members of-'.the British Cabinet Mission after' an Easter rest at Kashmir, says' Renter's Delhi correspondent. .The delegation immdiately conferred with h Viscount Wavell, reviewing the whole situation for two hours, and it is understood that the earliest opportunity will be taken to renew ' contacts"with 'party leaders. Official quarters discourage the suggestions .of a deadlock. : , The Delhi correspondent of ' The Times' recalls that the mission had hoped that the parties would hold decisive discussions during Easter, but these did not materialise, both sides apparently refusing to budge. In the , meantime, suspense and uncertainty are fraying communal tempers more seriously than any arrangements which might be the outcome of the mission's negotiations.
