DESTRUCTION IN MONTANA TOWN TWO YOUTHS SERIOUSLY INJURED (Rec. noon.) NEW YORK, April 1& Mobs consisting mostly of women and. children armed with axes roved the streets of Butte, Montana, for the last two nights, bashing in the doors and windows of private homes and wrecking furniture, youths were shot and seriously injured and hundreds of • householders telephoned for protection. The police arrested a number of juveniles, including girls, on looting charges. The town at present is tied up by a strike of 3,500 copper miners, and: the police declare that the homes, damaged were those of miners still-work-ing. The strike committee, however, denies that the union or its members were responsible.
