The. patients obtained relief- as long as they continued taking the drug, but had a recurrence of the symptoms when they stopped. The drug was safe to administer, and had no toxic reaction, but had annoying effects on some patients. About 32 per cent, of the patients treated had headache, drowsiness, fatigue, and occasional vomiting, but only 5 per cent, had reactions so severe that they had to stop its use.
