TO-NIGHT'S BOXING

To-night at 7.45 a novice boxing tournament will be staged in the Town Hall as preliminaries to the BolgerMcCann professional contest. Twentyseven entries have been received and the preliminary contests will continue until the professional bout commences at 9.25 p.m. McCann has arrived in Dunedin in excellent condition, and with Archie Leckie in his corner, is very confident of victory. He will box at lOst 131 b and is fighting even better than when he defeated Stevens last season. This should be a hard contest forßolger, as McCann is a very aggressive fighter who allows his opponent no respite. He punches hard, and it will take more than good boxing to win the day.
