AN EARLY WHISTLE.
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—l should like to voice a complaint with regard to a nuisance that residents of North-east Valley have been forced to endure. ' At 7 the morning silence is shattered by a factory whistle which is neither melodious nor necessary. Maybe there are some who consider" this a public service, but surely in these days of radios and alarm clocks it is cue which could be dispensed with. This being a supposedly residential area, I am sure there are numerous people who will agree with this complaint I have voiced. —1 am, etc., Anti-noise. March 23.
