WAVE OF RUMOURS STARTED (Rec. 11.25 a.m.) LONDON', Februarys, A wave of rumours that efforts had been made to deliver Goering and other war criminals from gaol were started when a heavy guard was suddenly thrown round the gaol area, says Reuter's Nuremberg correspondent. Patrols with fixed bayonets - were posted. It was a test alert ordered by the commander of the International Military Tribunal Command, and it was the first carried out since the trials began.
