WASHINGTON APPOINTMENT
(Upc. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 25. The Foreign Office announced that Sir Archibald Clark Kerr has been appointed Ambassador to "Washington in succession to Lord Halifax, who has asked leave to resign his appointment on May 1. '
