SECOND DAY PROSPECTS EXCELLENT CARD.ASSURED IMPROVING YOUNG PACERS The promise of good wether and a firm track at Forbury Park to-morrow points to a va:y interesting day's racing, . and as the fields include several rapidly-improving young pacers, it is quite on the cards that some of the existing time records for the course may be broken. The records for distances that will be raced over to-morrow are held by:— Eleven furlongs: Safety Pin, 2.56 3-5. Mile and a-half: Fremont and Quest, 3.14 1-5. Thirteen furlongs: Self, 3.34 3-5. Two miles: Parisienne, 4.15 3-5. The rain which has fallen during the week has done the track no harm, the strong wind drying up the moisture almost as quickly as it fell, and if the present fine weatheT continues the going will be fast. The public will have last Saturday's racing to guide them towards winners, but the firmer going may upset that form, especially in the first half of the ' programme. , The following are the fields and anticipations:— 11.30 WAVERLEY HANDICAP, £250. Kathleen's Voyage won so easily last Saturday that her chance cannot be overlooked, but she was favoured with the sticky going, which she handled well. Mistydale lost some ground through skipping, and on the firmer going promised to-morrow, and with her stable mate, Percy Volo, who will be making his first appearance, will be the likely favourite. ,If Tell Us begins correctly she showed sufficient pace last Saturday to be dangerous. 12.15 STEWARDS' HANDICAP, £350. Quite Worthy ran her best race for some time when she finished second to. Paddy Potts, and the'race should do her good. Doonholme was ■unlucky in breaking when .in a win- , ning position, and will again have th'» service of J. Walsh. There will be strong support for Stirling Castle, who will be having his first start at tho meeting, and if he can repeat the form he showed at Gore in the spring he should prove the best of those on the limit. Tom Gundy finished close up fourth last Saturday, and the firmer going should improve his chance. 1.0 HANDICAP, £450. Class 4.41. 2m. Gamble King 24 Convincer ... 12 Grelba ... 24 Volo's Victory 12 Logan Rey and Grelba and Windermere and Dinghy will be bracketed The former bracket is the likely popular selection. There were about four lengths between Gamble King and Convincer in last week's race, and now the latter comes in on 12yds better terms. In the small field Convincer's chance is preferred. 1.45. . Water Ranger, who meets Liberty Bond on 36yds and Dillondale on 48yds better terms, is the best handicapped horse in the race, but the true form of either Vimy Ridge or Ingle Belmer was not seen last Saturday, and, with better going to suit them, they will probably be made the favourites! Elvo's Pride, if improved by last week's race, should finish in the money again. 2.30 CRESCENT HANDICAP, £425. Class 3.36 (trotters), Hm. Loughros made a slow beginning but finished. very strongly and should again prove the best of the trio. 3.15 GORE MEMORIAL HANDICAP. £350. Class 3.52. lm sf. in this race, meeting with interference about two furlongs from home just when she appeared to hold a winning chance. She looks to be the hardest to beat, and of the others Lucky Meg appeals most.
