Mr D. C. Kidd, M.P., who has been a patient in the Timaru Publio Hospital for the past two months, has returned to his home in Albury. Administrator of Norfolk Island for over eight years, Major-general Sir Charles Rosenthal, C.M.G., D. 5.0., and Lady Rosenthal arrived at Auck* land bv air on Wednesday. They tire on the'ir' way back to Sydney, following Sir Charles' retirement as administrator. They will spend a fortnight, in New Zealand as the guests of the Government, and will visit ltotorua and the three main southern centres. During the First World War, Sir Charles commanded the Second Australian Division and was later in command of the New South Wales forces. Mr Alexander Wilson has succeeded Sir Charles as administrator of Norfolk Island. ■ _, Sir Raghunath ' Paranjpye (High Commissioner for India in Australia) to-day inspected the installations, at Waipori.. This afternoon,-at 5, he will give a short broadcast from Station 4YA, and this evening he will be entertained at a contract bridge party. To-morrow he leaves at 9 a.m. for the Hermitage. Yesterday, Sir. Raghunath and Mr W. J. Jordan (New Zealand High Commissioner in London), accompanied by the Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron), the town clerk (Mr R. A. Johnston), Messrs P. 6.
