SUGAR FOR JAM.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —" Housewife " wants a bag of sugar for jam. Well, one shipment went to the breweries to make beer. Mum can't get sugar to make jam for the youngsters,' but dad can get six bottles of beer for a " boozeroo," Mr Nash will say it helps the Government, as' there is a rake-off—taxation—for the consumer of beer; and why not alter the advertisement "For a healthier nation"?—l am, etc., January 23. Anti-humbug.
