MAIN STAND DAMAGED BY FIRE LONDON, December 26. The centre portion of the principal grandstand at Hampden Park. Glasgow, the world’s largest football stadium and the home ground of the famous amateur Queen’s Park Club, was seriously damaged when fire broke out shortly after midnight. It was four hours before firemen had the blaze under .control. The Press box. trainer's quarters, and directors’ room were also badly damaged.
