GERMAN ATROCITIES
SEVEN WAR PRISONERS SENTENCED TO DEATH MOSCOW, December 20. Seven German prisoners of war, charged with participating in atrocities 'at Smolensk, were sentenced to death, and three others were sentenced respectively to 20, 25. and 12 years m gaol. During the trial the State orosecutor said methods of exterminating Soviet people used by the Germans included burning alive, murder by medical experiments, deliberate infections, and the murder of five-year-old children by draining them of blood.
