DOUBLE FIRE TRAGEDY
WOMAN AND CHILD BURNT TO DEATH (Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 7. A woman and! her two-year-old granddaughter were burned to death" in a cottage at Bowral, 84 miles south of Sydney. Detectives believe the woman lost her life while trying to save the child, who started the -fire when placing with matches. The child's mother was away shopping, and the father is overseas with the A.I.F.
