YACHTING
O PROGRAMME FOR SEASON The syllabus for the yacht racing season on the Otago Harbour has been drawn up by the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association, in collaboration with the Sailing Committees of the various clubs, and a full programme of races covering the major part of the season has been prepared.
The syllabus is as follows, the races being for all-cpmers unless otherwise I stated:—November 10, Ravensbourne Boating Club, Bowie and Shamrock I Cups; November 17, Vauxhall Power Boat and Sailing Club; November 24, Broad Bay Boating Club; December 1, Ravensbourne Boating Club, junior yachtsmen’s race; December 8, Port Chalmers Yacht Club; December 15, ! Vauxhall Club; December 22, Port Chalmers Club; January 5, Vauxhall Club; January 12, Ravensbourne Club; January 19, "Otago Yacht Club, Nees Memorial Cup Race; January 26, Broad Bay Club; February 2, Otago Yacht Club ; February 9, Ravensbourne Regatta; February 16. Port Chalmers Victory Regatta; February 23, Vauxhall Club. It is unfortunate that the tides for the week-ends this season are not so suitable as could be desired, but the syllabus has been arranged so that the tides will be as suitable as possible for the various courses at the allotted week-ends.
