LOAN GRANTED
UNITED STATES TO NETHERLANDS (Rec. 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON. October 18. The Export and Import Bank announced that it had granted the Netherlands a 50,000,000,d011ar loan to finance the acquisition in the United States of agricultural and manufacturing products for use in the Netherlands. The interest rate Ls 2g per cent. The bank pointed out that the provisions of the loan agreement relating to the interest rate and maturities were identical with those of the recent lend-lease agreement. The reason was that the loan would be used for the acquisition of products already requisitioned and approved under the Lendlease Act prior to its expiration.
