The Pomahaka is rising and is unlikely to be in good order. The Waipahi has been low and should be only slightly affected by the recent - weather. The Catlins branch rivers have been fishing fairly well and should be in good order The Mahinerarmi Dam has been fairly full and should provide good fishing ior the week-end. The Waikouaiti is reported to b* clear and in good order. The Shag River is also in good condition, and unlikely to be affected to any degree by the weather.
