ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
SHOOTING FATALITY. Shot in circumstances suggesting that he himself accidentally discharged the rifle, Mr Reuben Parr, aged 60. married, a farm manager, was found dead on the roadside near Tongaporutu, states a New Plymouth telegram. Mr Parr was on his way to visit a property under his charge. He apparently seized the rifle by the muzzle to pull it from a truck, and it discharged.
