Well, it may make the Japs Collapse, And quit. Shall we conclude That the Atom's split For Humanity's good ? It makes one stand aghast, This blast, , • \ Which blows Out a whole Town. Goodness only knows Where the pieces come down. This business may be quite AH right, No doubt, For us, but still, When the . thing leaks. out—— (As it probably will) And with malevolent . . Intent Some folk Who are perverse Begin to invoke These gadgets—and worse. So what's to happen then? . Will men, Of wits And sense bereft. Blow each other to bit? ...... Till there's nobody left? If little Atoms must Be bust, Please find Some uses more Polite and refined ..'.-.'. Than this usage of war.
