CLERICAL EMPLOYEES The court has amended the New Zealand shipping companies' clerical employees' award to provide for increases in the wages for males ranging from £7 to £3O per annum, and for females from £6 to £26 per annum. Employees doing the work of messengers and inquiry clerks are to be paid a minimum of £234 iper annum for each year of service, rising in minimum annual increments of £l3 per annum to £286 per annum. Chief cargo tally clerks are to be paid at the rate of £6 10s per week, and at Wellington, while the Waterfront Control Commission is in charge of the foreman stevedores, an additional sum of 'los per" week shall be paid.
