SHARE MARKET. Interest in Bank of New Zealands was revived on the Dunedin investment market this morning, when over 700 shares changed hands on a rising market, 500 gelling at the closing price of 50s in five transactions. The market finished between 49s 9d and Soj 6d. Firm buyers for all the 3 per cent. Government stocks appeared, while the 2£ per cents, were also well supported. Commercial Banks narrowed to 17s 10d-18s Id, while Union Steam prefs., ■ after business at 31s 6d, had an unanswered buyer at 31s 3d. N.Z. Refrigerating (paids) closed at 29s 3d-29s 9d, with the contribs. firm at buyers 14s Id. Dominion Breweries were quoted wide on an ex-dividend inarkit of 50s-525.. Ngahere Dredge.—On June 11 the dredge ceased operating for the purpose of installing a new bucket line and carrying.out the annual overhaul. It is expected that these repairs will take five or six weeks to complete, after which dredging will recommence. The return for the period until dredging ceased, which included a general clean-up of the tables, etc., was 109 oz, the estimated yardage being 19,000, dredged in 47 hours. Slab Hut Creek Dredge.—The return for the week ended June 22 was 520 z from 19,800 yards in 124 hours. Austral New Zealand Dredge.—The return for the fortnight ended June 23 wai 3550 z, obtained in 236 hours.
